Sydney Eisteddfod Kawai Senior Piano Scholarship

The Kawai Senior Piano Scholarship is a pivotal event, creating momentum for a promising young pianist as they embark upon a professional career. This year’s event was highly competitive and filled the room with the sound of the stunning Kawai grand piano.

This year’s Kawai Senior Piano Scholarship took place on the 26 June at Sydney Town Hall. It was adjudicated by the esteemed Sonya Lifschitz, Jerry Wong and Vatche Jambazian.

The Sydney Eisteddfod Kawai Senior Piano Scholarship of $12,000 was awarded to Rae Yue Pung. All finalists – Anna Gao, Maryann Gou and Tony Lu – received $500 each.

Sydney Eisteddfod gratefully acknowledges the generous support of Kawai Australia, the Estate of the late John Allison AM and the donors to the Sydney Eisteddfod Jubilee Fund who make this scholarship and the finalist awards possible.
