Major Gifts and Endowments

The long-term sustainability of Sydney Eisteddfod has and continues to depend on the generosity and vision of individuals and foundations. Major gifts for specific or general purposes, grants and endowments are key to a solid foundation to support the Eisteddfod’s key priorities and future planning.

Major gifts for a specific purpose could fund:

  1. a prestigious principal scholarship or
  2. provide a travel scholarship for our finalists to perform at international festivals or
  3. commission a new work with young composers, musicians and dancers working with industry leaders to be showcased at one of our gala events.

Major gifts for general purposes are vital to our ongoing ability to operate and bring the Eisteddfod to over 25,000  young performers annually.

Endowments can be for a specific or general purpose and are invested according to the Sydney Eisteddfod investment policy and managed by the Investment Committee.

Philanthropy is about more than giving money. Often set up in memory of a loved one, these gifts continue giving for many years. What a wonderful way to honour them.

If you would like to join us on stage for years to come, please phone our Philanthropy Manager on 02 9261 8366 or request further information by email [email protected]

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which our work and events take place. We celebrate and applaud the long, rich history of storytelling in song, dance, and voice. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. We contribute to this continuity – developing and sharing our combined cultural journey through our activities on these lands where sovereignty was never ceded.
