Volunteers are an essential part of our Sydney Eisteddfod Festival.
Sydney Eisteddfod is a non-for profit organisation formed to bring together people in the community and gives them the opportunity to express themselves through art.
Who can volunteer?
Sydney Eisteddfod’s success in encouraging and supporting the Performing Arts owes much to its highly valued pool of volunteers. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and range in age from 18 to 95!
Whether you are a student requiring practical experience in Performing Arts management, a parent with an interest in the Arts, an organisation with a community service program for your staff, or even a retiree looking for something different and fun to do with like-minded people, we have roles in all categories – Dance, Vocal Solos & Choirs, Instrumental Solos & Groups and Speech & Drama. We brief you about your assigned roles, we work closely with you to help you feel comfortable, and we do our best to ensure that you enjoy your time with us.
*It is mandatory from 2016 that all volunteers & staff who are associated with an organisation that provides services to children to obtain the Working with children number
(Please visit www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au for more information).
What volunteering opportunities are available?
Sydney Eisteddfod can use volunteer help right across the organisation, including areas such as:
- Event Management
- Stage Management
- Ticket Sales
- Entrant Marshalling
- Research and marketing
- General office assistance
And much more...
When can you volunteer?
Office volunteers are welcome all year around.
Our events run from May to September and volunteers can elect periods of time and venues to suit their availability and location.
