Choral Championships

With entries from over 40 choirs across NSW and interstate, the Sydney Eisteddfod presented the 2025 Choral Championships, a double feature event showcasing finalists from The John Lamble Foundation Australasian Championship for Youth Choirs (19 Years and Under) and the Sydney Eisteddfod Australasian Open Choral Championship. 

The standard of performance was exceptional, showcasing the power of ensemble singing and the dedication of young artists and educators alike. The performances were adjudicated by leading choral experts Sam Allchurch and Karen Carey OAM.

The John Lamble Foundation Australasian Championship for Youth Choirs
Winner: Meriden Senior Singers (Strathfield)
Second-Place: Reddam House Senior Choir (Bondi)

Sydney Eisteddfod Australasian Open Choral Championship
Winner: Newcastle Chamber Choir (Newcastle)
Second-Place: The Frensham Madrigals (Mittagong)

The choirs received cash prizes, supported by The Federated Music Clubs of Australia, The John Lamble Foundation and The Sydney Symposium Choral Foundation.

Finalists on stage at The Concourse Concert Hall with adjudicators Sam Allchurch and Karen Carey OAM, Sydney Eisteddfod Chair Max Holzner and General Manager Heather Campbell, and donors Tania Lamble and Chris Butters.
