It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Rosalind Strong AM, a dear friend and passionate supporter of Sydney Eisteddfod. Ros was a member of the Strong family, whose generosity and commitment to the arts has been important to Sydney Eisteddfod.
Together with her husband Tony, Ros sponsored many classical singing events, providing invaluable support to countless young performers. Her kindness, dedication and unwavering passion for the arts will be sorely missed by the entire Eisteddfod community.
Outside of her contributions to the Eisteddfod, Ros was a tireless philanthropist, supporting numerous charitable causes throughout her life. She served as Chair of several not-for-profit and non-government organisations and was a member of a wide range of other government and not-for-profit Boards.
Rosalind’s legacy is one of generosity and the contributions she made to the arts and to society impacted countless lives for the better. She will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to making the world a better place.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Rosalind’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.
