What a day! On Sunday we saw the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall light up for the Sydney Eisteddfod Dance of Champions with a showcase of outstanding talent and dedication from Australia’s next generation of lead dancing groups.

Fostering creativity since 1933 – Sydney Eisteddfod offers performance opportunities to everyone that enters, creating a richer and more vibrant culture, so that we all can dream, perform, achieve and inspire.

The event was live streamed via the Australian Digital Concert Hall across the nation with life-long lover of ballet and a communications specialist Nicole Chettle as Compere.

Thank you to our Dance of Champions Adjudicators Founder and Director of Capital B Creative and former serving board member at Dancenorth Bridget Hart; and dancer, performer and mentor Pauly Maybury.

The 2023 Sydney Eisteddfod Dance of Champions was awarded to Ablaze Dance Academy Open Contemporary, from Newcastle, NSW. Congratulations to this sensational group.

Finalists were Ablaze Dance Academy Open Ballet and Ablaze Dance Academy Contemporary, Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy, National College of Dance, 2Step Dance, Albany Creek State High School.
