Ms Kate Ridge
Kate Ridge is a natural born Australian who spent 20 years training and performing in the United States. She earned her Masters in Global and Cultural Education, Physical Education Teaching Credential with Dance supplement, and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from California State University, Long Beach. Kate is currently a Secondary School Teacher and Dance Mentor providing training, routine consultations, and educational workshops and resources for secondary school teachers, all star dance teams and dance studios worldwide. Kate has performed professionally for Disneyland Resort, Disney Animation Studios, Disney’s California Adventure, Lego Land California and toured throughout the USA with Dance America and Dance Olympus Conventions. Kate was a top 10 contestant for TV reality show The Business of Dance and the face of Jazz for Flip Sport, Australia. She has adjudicated for the ICU and IASF Dance Worlds the last 5 years in Orlando, UDA all over the USA, ICU in China, KCA in South Korea, AASCF in Australia, and MDDJ in Japan. Kate has also adjudicated a wide range of Eisteddfods both live and virtual worldwide. She has presented educational seminars for coaches and teachers in Australia, China, USA, Mexico, South Korea, Europe, Malaysia and Ukraine. Kate has spent 20 years teaching and choreographing throughout the United States for theme parks, dance studios, event entertainment, college dance programs and high school dance teams and is now doing the same throughout Australia. She is passionate about the education of both teachers and young athletes in dance and thrives on not only being a forever student herself, but in helping others achieve their personal best. Kate is honoured to be a part of the Sydney Eisteddfod for the 2025 Season.

No pointe work allowed. Note: Music is to be uploaded to the Sydney Eisteddfod Entrant Portal no later than two weeks prior to the event. Files should be in MP3 format. Please refer to Item 15 of the Dance Rules & Conditions of Entry.
Conditions
The Eisteddfod reserves the right to amend or refuse entry, to disqualify or deny participation, to alter or reduce the prizes as published, or to amend, cancel or combine any event, particularly should there be insufficient entries.
