Entry Information

A memorised solo performance of at least two items - one contemporary piece and one heightened text (written in verse). Total performance time to be between 6-8 minutes (including introductions and linking dialogue totalling approximately 1 minute). Entrants are encouraged to consider constrasting works.

Important Notes

Entrants are encouraged to vary repertoire choices in order to develop their expressive and technical capabilities. However, there are no restrictions on the number of times a work can be repeated across multiple events.

Conditions

In this Championship, the use of costume for any item is at the performer's discretion. Rehearsal blacks should be worn if the entrant is forgoing costuming. Adjudicators' reports will be written but no marks will be given on these reports. Please refer to the Speech & Drama Rules & Conditions of Entry. Your entry is accepted under these conditions. Please be advised that this principal event is open to all entrants who meet the age parameters, with no prerequisite events required.
