Paull-Anthony Keightley
Paull-Anthony made his European debut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in 2018, where he performed
in eleven productions, including Nabucco, Die Zauberflöte, Salome, and Eugene Onegin as an
ensemble member. He subsequently joined Theatre Basel's ensemble for two seasons before
taking guest engagements at Staatstheater Kassel and Luzern Theater. In 2021, he became part of
the full-time chorus at Staatsoper Unter den Linden.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with renowned conductors including Daniel
Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Sir Simon Rattle, Sir Antonio Pappano, Simone Young AM, and Thomas
Guggeis and performed in productions directed by Calixto Bieto, Lydia Stier, Patrice Chereau, and
Rolando Villazón.
His professional journey began at West Australian Opera, where he performed roles such as
Colline in La Bohème, Parson & Badger in The Cunning Little Vixen, and Zuniga in Carmen. As a
concert soloist, he has performed the title role in Mendelssohn's Elijah and has been featured in
works including Fauré's Requiem, Bach's Cantata BWV 147, Rossini's Stabat Mater, and Mozart's
Missa Brevis in F major.
A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and the Western Australian Academy of Performing
Arts, Paull-Anthony received numerous accolades, including the 2017 Opera Foundation for Young
Australians' Deutsche Oper Berlin Award and the Richard Bonynge Award. He earned
scholarships from prestigious organisations such as the Dame Joan Sutherland Fund, the
Australian Music Foundation, and Melba Opera Trust.
In 2023, he returned to Australia to join Opera Australia's full-time chorus before transitioning to
arts management. Now with Patrick Togher Artists' Management, he applies his Cultural and Arts
Management postgraduate degree from Leuphana University to manage over 60 artists' careers.
