Ms Rosemary Quinn

Rosemary Quinn is a highly accomplished cellist with a career spanning orchestral, chamber, and solo performances. She studied at the Queensland Conservatorium before furthering her training in Germany and Italy under renowned mentors. As a core member of the Australian Chamber Orchestra from 1990 to 1996, she also performed with the Queensland and Sydney Symphony Orchestras, and the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra. Rosemary has been a longstanding member of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and is a founding member of chamber ensembles such as the Merlin Ensemble, Trio Pollastri, and Trio Ceiligh, performing regularly across Australia. Beyond performance, she has dedicated over 25 years to music education, teaching at leading institutions including Sydney Youth Orchestra, SCEGGS Darlinghurst, Sydney Grammar School, and St. Catherine's School.

At the discretion of Sydney Eisteddfod Management, selected place-getters aged 12-15 years may qualify for Event 220: Sydney Eisteddfod Alf & Pearl Pollard Memorial Instrumental Awards for Performance Excellence (13-15 Years). If insufficient entries in either Events 259 or 260 these will combine. Please refer to the Instrumental Solos & Duos Rules & Conditions of Entry. Your entry is accepted under these conditions.
