Own choice of one published monologue, to be performed in costume. Total performance time to be between 2-4 minutes.

Ms Raechyl French
Raechyl French is an experienced voice coach, actor and voice over artist with an MFA: Voice from the National Institute of Dramatic Art and Diploma of Screen Performance from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Having taught at schools including NIDA, University of Wollongong, Sydney Theatre School, Brent Street, NIDA Open and in private practice, Raechyl offers extensive skills in vocal development, textual analysis and dialect training. Her approach is inspired by bringing joy to healthy voice and speech development through confidence-building, playful and embodied techniques. Raechyl focuses on enlivening the creative body, mind and voice to support communicative and storytelling excellence. She is also an accomplished speech and drama teacher providing training to a wide age range of students. In her acting and voice over career, Raechyl is frequently on Sydney independent stages and voicing audiobooks, commercials, e-learning and corporate videos. In pursuing the pathways of practitioner and pedagogue, Raechyl offers a keen awareness and embodiment of dextrous, grounded and truthful performances. Raechyl is currently working towards certification in Lessac technique, Vocal Combat Technique and Knight- Thompson Speechwork, with ongoing interests in the fields of the voice and trauma, honouring cultural voices, and inclusion and diversity in voice training.

Note: A copy of the work to be performed must be uploaded to the Sydney Eisteddfod Entrant Portal no later than two weeks prior to the event. If insufficient entries in either Events 331 or 335 these will combine. Please refer to the Speech & Drama Rules & Conditions of Entry. Your entry is accepted under these conditions.
