Meriel Owen enjoys a versatile musical life and is in demand as a pianist and harpist. Recital opportunities over the years have taken her to Washington D.C., Houston, Chicago, Italy and Australia. As the recipient of the Stuart and Norma Leslie Churchill Fellowship in 2013, Meriel traveled to Austria and Germany to undertake further study of harp technique and repertoire in ensemble. Now based in Hobart, Meriel performs regularly with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and Van Diemen’s Band and is an examiner for AMEB Tasmania.

Conditions

At the discretion of Sydney Eisteddfod Management, selected place-getters aged 12-15 years may qualify for Event 220: Sydney Eisteddfod Alf & Pearl Pollard Memorial Instrumental Awards for Performance Excellence (13-15 Years).

If insufficient entries in either Events 259 or 260 these will combine.
