Entry Information

Own choice of a program. All music should be between Grades 1-2 or equivalent. Groups who present repertoire above Grade 2 may be eligible for 'comments only' - and not in contention for a placing or prize. No vocals, however vocalising allowed if included in the score.

Total performance time of up to 10 minutes, which includes time taken between items.

Important Notes

A copy of complete scores, in order of performance, with bars numbered, must be provided. Specific genre items (e.g. Blues, Swing) and Grades must also be identified on scores.

Copies of music must be uploaded to the Sydney Eisteddfod Entrant Portal no later than two weeks prior to the event (see item 3, in the Instrumental Rules & Conditions of Entry).

Conditions

Minimum of 18 instrumentalists (Please note Sydney Eisteddfod can provide a maximum of 60 orchestral chairs & only 50 music stands). Should groups intend on bringing additional instruments or equipment they must notify Sydney Eisteddfod, no later than two weeks prior to the performance date, to [email protected]

This event is for traditional concert band instrumentation. The bass line only may be doubled by electric bass guitar/s or single keyboard. Acoustic substitutes (e.g. clarinet for oboe, or piano for harp) are acceptable.
