We are THRILLED to announce that the 2021 SYDNEY EISTEDDFOD ALF & PEARL POLLARD AWARD FINAL, will be HELD LIVE AT Lane Cove Mowbray Anglican Church on Tuesday December 7!

The Sydney Eisteddfod annual Pollard Award Final, invites the most promising instrumentalists of the year to perform, who are aged between 12 and 15.

This Sydney Eisteddfod event is uniquely special as there is no panel of judges. All Winners in the Final are selected by audience vote and the Finalists must do their best to impress the audience with their musical talent.

The TEN FINALISTS selected to perform are listed below, along with their instrument of choice:

1) Ava Pudney (Earlwood, NSW) - PIANO
2)  Kieran Chan (Breakfast Point) - PIANO
3)  John Nguyen (Croydon Park, NSW) - PIANO
4)  Allyson Wu (North Turramurra, NSW - PIANO
5)  Vincent Zhu (Roseville, NSW) - CELLO
6)  Isabella Sun (Wahroonga, NSW) - VIOLIN
7)  Joshua Borg (Roseville, NSW) - CLASSICAL GUITAR
8)  Ian Gao (West Pennant Hills, NSW) - SAXOPHONE
9)  Hayley Lau (Willoughby, NSW) - FLUTE
10)  Ivan Zhang (Warrawee, NSW) - CLARINET

The total prize value for this event exceeds $4,350.  With the Finalists already demonstrating the highest level of skill this year by taking out the top scores in their respective events, we are certain they will be leaving the audience in awe and admiration of their musical abilities. 

The Sydney Eisteddfod Alf & Pearl Pollard Memorial Instrumental Awards for Performance Excellence will be held on Tuesday 7 December, 7.30pm at Lane Cove - Mowbray Anglican Church.
