Jenna Robertson, 2017 Sydney Eisteddfod Opera Scholarship Quarter-Finalist
In 2016, Scottish-Australian soprano Jenna Robertson made her role debut as Violetta in La Traviata with Opera New England, NSW, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos with OperaBox, WA and reprised her portrayal of the title role in Donizetti’s Anna Bolena with OperaBox, WA. Other performed roles include Gilda Rigoletto, Fiordiligi Così fan tutte, Mimì La Bohème, Gretel Hänsel & Gretel, Laetitia Old Maid and the Thief, Cunegonde Candide, Mabel Pirates of Penzance and Christine Phantom of the Opera. With the West Australian Opera Chorus, Jenna performed in La Traviata, Otello, Madama Butterfly, Faust and L’Elisir d’Amore.
Jenna has performed as soloist with the Perth Symphony Orchestra, Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, South Side Symphony Orchestra, Albany Chamber Orchestra, Perth Pops Orchestra and Sinfonia Excelsior, Edinburgh. Oratorio soloist credits include Jenkins The Armed Man, Faure Requiem, Mozart Requiem, Handel Messiah, Vivaldi Gloria and selected items in Orff Carmina Burana.
For the last 6 months Jenna has been working with coaches at Deutsche Oper Berlin and Opera Australia including Tony Legge and Nicole Dorigo. Future engagements include her role debut as Manon in Massenet’s Manon with OperaBox in September.
