Sydney Eisteddfod needs volunteers for the 2017 Festival

February 1, 2017

The Sydney Eisteddfod is a well-oiled machine that has been encouraging aspiring performing artists in the pursuit of excellence for the last 83 years.

A huge part of the competition’s success is due to the selfless volunteers that continue to donate their time and effort during planning stages and helping events run smoothly. Without their assistance, Sydney Eisteddfod could not exist.

So if you enjoy helping young people fulfil their dreams, appreciate the arts and have time to spare between the months of May and September, you might consider joining the Sydney Eisteddfod team.

Sydney Eisteddfod has front of house and backstage positions available for marshals, doorkeepers and other positions.

Sessions run for approximately four hours and during the busiest periods, especially during the June/July school holidays, there are events on daily.

Every year, a wealth of new talent rises from its stages and many entrants progress into hugely successful professional careers as singers, dancers, actors and musicians.

The Sydney Eisteddfod is a not-for-profit organisation that runs one of the most successful competitive performing arts festival of its type in the world. We have more than 350 events yearly with competitors coming from NSW/ACT mostly but also from other states and New Zealand.

We hope you can assist Sydney Eisteddfod in encouraging talented youngsters in their quest for excellence – while making a meaningful contribution to the cultural capital of the nation.
