A memorised solo performance of at least three items.

Note: Strict performance of minimum 6 & maximum 9 minutes (to include introductions and linking dialogue totalling approximately 1 minute).

Note: All items may have been performed in previous events. Please refer to Item 7 under Speech & Drama Category Rules & Conditions.


Prerequisite: 
1) Entrants MUST enter and perform in: 
*331: Shakespeare Monologue In Rehearsal Blacks (14 & Under)
2) AND EITHER:
* 332: Monologue/Character (14 Years) OR
* 335: Monologue/Character (13 Years) OR
* 337: Monologue/Character (12 Years)
3) AND one other event from the following:
* 316: Australian Poem (15 & Under) - only if aged 12-14 years
* 318: Verse Speaking (14 & 15 Years) - only if aged 14 years
* 319: Prose Speaking (14 & 15 Years) - only if aged 14 years
* 334: Prose Speaking (13 Years)
* 336: Verse Speaking (13 Years)
* 338: Verse Speaking (11 & 12 Years) - only if aged 12 years
* 339: Prose Speaking (11 & 12 Years) - only if aged 12 years

In this Championship there are no restrictions on use of costume for any item, at the performer's discretion. 

Adjudicators' reports will be written but no marks will be given on these reports.

The Winner will also receive a voucher to the value of $620 to be used towards any NIDA Open short course over the next 12 months (not redeemable for cash). A Gift Certificate from Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) will also be given out at the discretion of the adjudicator. Gift Certificate entitles the winner to one complimentary holiday workshop throughout the year offered by ATYP.
