The air around Chatswood will ring with song and music when thousands of singers and musicians take the stage at The Concourse Concert Hall to compete in choral in and instrumental group events at the 2017 Sydney Eisteddfod. The choristers and instrumentalists come from all over Sydney and even further afield. Most are young and all are determined to give their best performance ever as they follow in the footsteps of world-class entertainers at this magnificent venue.
Sydney Eisteddfod began presenting its choral and group instrumental programs at The Concourse in 2012, and over the next two weeks an estimated 6,500 budding singers and instrumentalists will perform on the open stage in this stunning and brilliantly lit Concert Hall where everyone feels like a star. Some groups return every year, others are awe-inspired newcomers, but as everyone mixes in the thrill of it all, the annual Sydney Eisteddfod program at The Concourse has developed into a joyous community festival. One that not only celebrates the magic of music, friendship and fun, but also provides participants with an outstanding listening and learning experiences in the presence of highly qualified adjudicators.
