Paulina Quinteros graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Paulina has won both the Peggy van Praagh and the Sir Robert Helpmann award for Professional Choreography. She has created numerous works for festivals and companies including Australian Ballet and Queensland Ballet Company, The Australian Dance Awards, Carnivale, Bondi Ballet, VCA, WAAPA, UNSW.
In 2014 Paulina won the NSW AICD Dance Creation Choreographic competition.The new work was presented in Melbourne at the Malt House Theatre. In 2016, she was invited by Queensland Ballet’s Artistic director Li Cunxin to choreograph a new work for their Dance Dialogues season. She later travelled to Western Australia to choreograph a new work for WAAPA ‘the Circus of Dreams’.
At the end of 2016 Paulina presented‘La Choreografia’atThe Everest Theatre at The Seymour Centre, a new dance work choreographed for her newly formed Sydney based dance company ‘Danza del Arte’.
‘La Choreografia’ won 2016 Sydney Fringe Dance Award, and received a wonderful review from Jill Sykes published in the Sydney Morning Herald. Subsequently Paulina was invited to present her work for the Chilean Ambassador Mr Daniel Carvallo, the trade commissioner Ms. Paula Moreno and members of the Australian and Chilean public.
