Noel Cislowski is an Honours Graduate from Sydney University. He studied Singing and Speech & Drama at the NSW Conservatorium of Music where he gained his LMusA, LTCL and LSDA Diplomas.
He holds Fellowships in Speech & Drama from Trinity College and the Australian Music Examination Board. He has vast experience as a teacher, lecturer, actor, producer, conductor and director. He has performed lead roles in musical comedy, and was narrator/singer in works such as Peter And The Wolf and Tubby the Tuba with the Sydney Symphony and Willoughby Symphony Orchestras. He was Head of Speech & Drama and Leader of the Creative & Practical ArtsTeam for the NSW Department of Education,and was former President of both the Music Association and Speech & Drama Association of NSW. He is the current Patron of the Speech & Drama Association of NSW.
Noel served as a Director and Deputy Chairman of the NIDA Board of Studies and on the Advisory Board of the Australian Music Examination Board for many years. He is currently Chairman of the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and Choir, a Director and former National Chairman of Orchestras Australia and Chairman of the Governing Board of the Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA).The Eisteddfod movement has been a large part of Noel’s life and he regularly adjudicates drama and music in competitions throughout Australia and in New Zealand.
