Molly Stewart discovered the joys of singing early in life. At 10, she played her first title role in The Arcadians Theatre Group production of Annie. Since then, Molly has performed many lead roles with this enterprising group and, in August, she will be taking to its stage again playing the title role of Eliza Doolittle in Lerner & Loewe’s masterpiece My Fair Lady at The Miner's Lamp Theatre.
Now 17, Molly is in her final year school and has numerous theatrical successes to her credit. She has been particularly successful in her performances at Sydney Eisteddfod.
Over the years, many great artists have made their mark in Sydney Eisteddfod and Molly ranks the ‘youngest,’ person to win the senior event and the ‘only’ entrant to win the Senior and Junior Singer of the Year awards in the same two-year period. She will soon be sitting for her HSC exams and is hoping to continue her studies at West Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
