Luke Alleva began his musical theatre career in the GFO Production of Man of La Mancha. He performed the role of Brains in Get Happy and Cliff for the Australian tour of We Will Rock You. He has performed
in London’s West End in We Will Rock You at The Dominion Theatre, Saturday Night Fever at Apollo Victoria and covered the roles of Joey, Chester and Cesar in West End Rocks.
On his return to Australia Luke appeared in The Rocky Horror Show, covered the roles of Brad and Eddie/Dr Scott, played the role of Scranton Slim and covered the role of Benny in Guys and Dolls. He covered the roles of Pepper and Eddie in Mamma Mia,Young Danny in Xanadu and was the Dance Captain in the musical Moonshadow. Other roles covered include Mike in A Chorus Line and Al, Don & Larry in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Luke covered the role of the four brothers, including Spring in the recent tour of Hot Shoe Shuffle.
He has also played the role of Spring in Birdie productions. He has created and starred in his own One Man show The Dancin Man, which he has taken to Sydney, Melbourne and regional centres and P&O Cruises.
Luke is a sought after Choreographer for Carols by Candlelight and Saturday Night Fever. TV credits include Always Greener, Australia’s Got Talent, Paul O’Grady Show, Kerrie Anne, Sunrise and various commercials and corporate gigs. On the Big screen, he played Montmartre dancer in Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge, appeared in Dein Perry’s Bootmen, Gallipoli From Above as Tom Usher and The Divorce for the ABC.
Most recently Luke performed in Dusty with The Production Company, as well as playing Funny Girl, 42nd Street, Little Me, Guys and Dolls and the role of Jimmy in The Boy Friend.
