Please see below for our most up-to-date COVID-19 information. We will be updating this on a regular basis, when required.
If you’ve transferred your entry fees from 2020 to 2021 already, you should have received an email from us confirming your 2021 entries. Let us know if you have not received it by emailing us here.
For all those interested in entering any of our Scholarship events, we have increased our scholarship age cut-off by one year so that anyone who would have just met our scholarship age requirements in 2020 can still enter these events in 2021!
2021 will be another challenging year as Covid-19 is still very much with us.
As and if restrictions change, we may need to adjust and adapt categories and events closer to the time of their performance dates. Entrants are advised to monitor our website and regularly check emails and social media for current and up-to-date information relating to their event, but currently we are in 'all systems go' for all categories of the Festival.
After consultation with our community, we have been advised that it will be even more challenging for large groups to comply with social distancing and travel rules under Covid-19 restrictions.
Two categories, choirs and instrumental groups will therefore be asked to submit Private Video Submissions and judges will be asked to come to our office to judge and award prizes.
We have planned for and are hoping to hold 'live - on stage' performances for the remainder of our events and can assure our treasured entrants and their families that Sydney Eisteddfod will, in some shape or form, go ahead in 2021.
Prizes will be announced on our social media forum and website as usual.
However, as stated above, if restrictions change, we may need to adjust and adapt categories and events closer to the time of their performance dates.
