With the rapidly evolving situation on the Covid-19 pandemic, we want to keep you abreast of how this currently affects the 2020 Sydney Eisteddfod Festival.
The health and safety of our entrants, audiences, associated artists and technical support personnel and staff is our highest priority.
With the uncertain times we are living in, we are still moving ahead with the "Planning Stage" for the 2020 Sydney Eisteddfod Festival". At this time, the 2020 Sydney Eisteddfod Festival will proceed as planned from 23 May onwards.
We will monitor this rapidly evolving situation constantly and will take our direction from the advice and directives provided by the Australian Commonwealth, NSW Government and Live Performance Australia.
With our competition nearly two months away, we remain hopeful that the global situation and current policies on quarantining and gatherings of 500+ will be resolved in time.
If you have already entered and paid for your entry fees or booked tickets, then you should retain your bookings. If you are intending to enter, please proceed as usual. We will continue to take entries until March 23 and thereafter, provided we have vacancies.
We already have in place in our 'General Rules & Conditions of Entry' - Rule No 4 for our Festival which states:
4. Entry fees are not refundable except when an event is cancelled or in accordance with the Eisteddfod's current health and safety policy. Entry fees cannot be transferred to another event should entrants change their mind after final timetabling.
Therefore, should Sydney Eisteddfod find itself in a position where it needs to postpone or cancel event/s then we will be in touch with advice about refunds or other options.
