Barker College Copeland Choir won The John Lamble Foundation Australasian Championship for Primary/Infant Choir in 2016
Sydney Eisteddfod offers wonderful opportunities for choristers of all ages to get on stage, have fun and share their stunning vocals with an audience.
The John Lamble Foundation Australasian Choral Championships will be on June 4 at the Sydney Grammar School New Hall, catering for groups of all ages. The three events are separated into Primary/Infant Choirs Years K-6, Youth Choirs (19 & under) and Open categories. Place getters in selected choir events will be considered for participation in these Championships.
Sydney Eisteddfod Ex Officio Emeritus Chairman John Lamble AO said the level of talent seen at these events each year never ceases to impress him.
“It’s inspiring to see so many choristers of all ages performing together under one roof,” Mr Lamble said.
“The John Lamble Foundation Australasian Choral Championships present some of the best choirs Australia has to offer. And place-getters from the Youth and Open Age Championships will be considered for the annual Choral Grand Prix for a chance to win their share of the $20,000 prize pool while the audience is treated to some incredible choir performances.”
There are nearly 350 events in the 2017 Festival providing a safe environment for friendly competitiveness.
We look forward to seeing the talented choirs battling it out on stage this year. Good luck to all!
