Brenda Jones enjoys a diverse career as a music educator and performer. She is highly regarded as a collaborative pianist, playing
duo recitals with principal musicians from the ACO and the Sydney Symphony. Brenda is a founding member of premiere chamber group Sonus Piano Quar tet, and can be heard as guest pianist with many of Australia’s top ensembles at festivals nationwide and on ABC Classic FM.
American born and trained, Brenda studied with renowned pedagogue John Perry at USC where she obtained a BM and MM with academic distinction before furthering her studies with Joan Havill at the Guildhall School in London. She was named a Gilmore Young Artist and a finalist for Presidential Scholar of the Arts. Brenda was a prizewinner in the 2003 Dublin International Piano Competition and a semi finalist in the 2004 Sydney International Piano Competition.
Brenda has had solo engagements with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra,YMF Orchestra, Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, and the Irish National Symphony. She has also performed solo and chamber music recitals in Spain, Belgium, Austria, the UK, and Germany. In 2016 she founded Forest Piano Academy, a unique piano studio where creativity leads students to achieve success.
