Australian Choral Grand Prix Finalist Shine Chorus

Shine Chorus debut CD is a sold out hit

2016 Australian Choral Grand Prix Finalist Shine Chorus have ended the year with the release of their debut album.

Recorded during their Annual Concert, the compilation of nearly 20 songs is a first since the choir was founded in 2003 – it has now sold over 100 copies.

John Jung has been a member for 8 years and said this was a great achievement for Shine Chorus.

 “We’re very happy,” he said.

Included in the CD are the performances from the 2016 Australian Choral Grand Prix Psalm 150, The Trusting Heart to Jesus Clings and The Glory of the Lord, as well as John Rutter’s Magnificat and 3 songs from the Messiah collection by George Frideric Handel.

John said Shine Chorus closed the year with a “touching” performance with The New Light Performing Arts Company of the Blind at the Korean Cultural Centre in November.

Congratulations to Shine Chorus on the new CD!

Sydney Eisteddfod looks forward to seeing the choir on stage in its 2017 Festival.
