Since completing her contract starring in ‘Rock of Ages’ Las Vegas, Sydney Eisteddfod veteran Sheridan Mouawad, has landed her dream role performing on Broadway in the landmark production, 'Paramour' by Cirque Du Soleil.
From solo and troupe dance events to classical and contemporary singing, Sheridan grew-up competing on the Sydney Eisteddfod's stages. The moment she was awarded first place in the 2006 ‘Song & Dance 14/U’ event, she knew musical theatre was her passion and has been chasing that dream ever since.
Upon moving to New York, Sheridan had the opportunity to develop and originate the lead role of 'Raven' in Jim Steinman's new musical 'Bat Out Of Hell', before booking the role of featured ensemble member in ‘Paramour’. As this is Cirque Du Soleil’s first ever Broadway show she will forever be recognised as a member of the original cast and responsible for creating both the track and role.
‘Paramour’ tells the story of a beautiful young actress forced to choose between love and art in the glamorous world of Golden Ages Hollywood. Sheridan will be required to sing, dance and act for the role as well as cover other featured roles in the show.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and Sydney Eisteddfod wishes Sheridan the best of luck!
