Queenslanders win scholarships to The Australian Ballet School


At the recent final of the prestigious Sydney Eisteddfod Robert & Elizabeth Albert Junior Classical Ballet Scholarship, Talia Fidra and Joshua Jack Price were presented with one-year scholarships to The Australian Ballet School by Lynette Wills joined adjudicators Analiesa Kreutz and Rani Luther for the judging.

A former, much-loved principal of The Australian Ballet, Ms Wills, who now teaches at The Australian Ballet and has also won acclaim as a dance photographer, not only presented the awards, but also arranged the photographs taken in the wake of the event. Although Joshua Jack and Talia both hail from

Queensland, they have been collecting medals on Sydney Eisteddfod stages for the past few years.  Fifteen-year-old Joshua studies with Amanda Bollinger, 14-year-old while Talia is a student of Janine McGrath at Classical Coaching Australia.  Both show outstanding promise and Sydney Eisteddfod wishes them every success.
