After a full day of performances by some of the best emerging pianists in Australia, Sydney Eisteddfod is proud to announce the 4 finalists for the annual Allison/Henderson Sydney Eisteddfod Piano Scholarship.
The finalists were chosen from a pool of 26 pianists whose nimble fingers impressed adjudicators Ian Munro and Professor Michael Brimmer at the preliminary heats at the Playfair Hall, Shore School, on June 25.
Past winner of the award, for pianists aged 16 to 25, include Jayson Gillham, Glenn Riddle, Alex Raineri and Tony Lee.
Finalists will present a major work of up to 35 minutes in length at the final on August 26 at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the winner of the Allison/Henderson Sydney Eisteddfod Piano Scholarship will receive $13,500 in prizes.
The four finalists are:

Aaron Liu (Forest Lake, QLD)
