Phillida Green


Phillida Green studied at the junior schools of both Juilliard in New York and the Royal College of Music in London, and after a B. Mus degree at Sydney University completed two years of post-graduate study in piano at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester. She has performed widely as a soloist, in both England and Italy as well as in Australia, including a number of appearances as soloist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the performance of the complete ‘Well-tempered Klavier’.

She has adjudicated at many eisteddfods including the Sydney Eisteddfod and the National Eisteddfod, and was on the selection panel for the Sydney auditions of the World Power International Piano Competition held in London. Phillida teaches at a leading private school, as well as privately in Sydney and was on the staff of Wollongong Conservatorium of Music from 1983 to 2009 and as Head of Keyboard from 2008.
