Morinda Trio wins Sydney Eisteddfod Musica Viva Chamber Music Award

Sydney Eisteddfod congratulates the Mt Annan-based Morinda Trio on its magnificent victory against stellar competition in the 2013 Sydney Eisteddfod Musica Viva Chamber Music Award.

The group was founded at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the guidance of Professor Uzi Wiesel. The players Som Howie (clarinet), Karol Kowalik (cello) and Jeremy So (piano) are all outstanding musicians and their performance in the final round was superb.

The Stravinsky Trio from New Zealand finished in second place and the Jani Haenke Quartet from Queensland third.

Sydney Eisteddfod thanks all of the players who participated in this showcase of musical talent.  Bravo!
