The Sydney Eisteddfod has been a most significant cultural event since its inception in 1933, 83 years ago.
Indeed, many thousands of individuals, young and older, have committed themselves to the pursuit of excellence in the various sectors which the Eisteddfod mounts, enriching the wider communities as the performers, with enhanced skill and confidence, subsequently share their art, across our nation.
The great success of Sydney Eisteddfod continues to be upheld by the highly efficient administrative officers, and the generous band of dedicated volunteers, many of whom in past years had been eager performers.
My congratulations and best wishes are with all associated in this most creative endeavour.
