Lamorna Nightingale is a core member of the new music group - Ensemble Offspring and has been performing with them since 2007. She has appears regularly with Sydney's best orchestras and chamber groups. Through her publishing company, Fluteworthy, Lamorna has created several pedagogical volumes of repertoire for young flute players and performed on two recordings of new Australian flute music ‘Eat Chocolate and Cry’ and ‘Spirit of the Plains’.
Lamorna has an active teaching studio and is a senior examiner for the AMEB. From 2012-14 Lamorna was the President of the Flute Society of NSW in this role she was responsible for organising several large scale events such as Eisteddfods and developing a stronger sense of community in the Australian flute scene.
Recently, Lamorna produced and performed as a soloist in the Australian Premier Performance of Sciarrino's work for 104 flute players, ‘Il cerchio tagliato dei suoni’ at the Australian Flute Festival. In 2015 she performed in the Sydney season of ‘Les Miserables’ and in January 2016 she performed with early music ensemble Anima Eterna at the Sydney Festival and then the Lincoln Centre in New York.
