Kim Hudson completed her Cert 4 in Dance Performance at the Australian Dance Performance Institute training in classical, jazz, tap, contemporary and musical theatre. For 20 years she trained in all styles extensively including completing her Advanced 1 RAD syllabus with Honours. Kim taught for various schools in Queensland taking classes for students in all areas of dance as well as conducting professional workshops for dancers wanting to gain a position in the industry.
At the ripe age of 18 she gained her first contract in Macau, dancing at the prestigious Sands Casino as a principal dancer. Kim then ventured with MSC Cruiselines travelling through South Africa, Brazil and the Mediterranean in a cabaret/jazz production. After her cruise ship contracts, Kim resided in Singapore for two years performing as a singer/ dancer for Universal Studios. She gained a leading position as Dance Captain for both the 'Mel's Dinettes' and 'Daddy O' shows as well as assisting in creating their latest production- 'The Cruisers'. Returning from Singapore, she was lucky enough to dance in her own hometown, on the Gold Coast in M2's production of "Cabaret De Paris” alongside the prestigious Marissa Burgess. After moving to Sydney, Kim made her musical theatre debut in GFO’s Australian tour of “Dirty Dancing” playing Vivian Pressman and understudying lead role, Penny Johnson performing 8 shows a week of intense ballroom, jazz and partnering.
