The International Boys Summer School for male dance students aged from 6 to 19 years, presented by Shore School in partnership with Sydney Eisteddfod, is proving to be an outstanding success. Conducted at the school's magnificent North Sydney campus, the six-day residential course attracts participants from all over Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.
The School attracts top performers and teachers eg former Australian Ballet principal Steven Heathcote AO, Josef Brown of Dirty Dancing fame, teacher/choreographer Bill Pengelly and So You Think You Can Dance star B.J. Rorke. The course is a great learning experience for all involved. After the morning warm-up, the boys dance through a program of classical, contemporary and jazz classes a well as engaging in pas de deux lessons with girls from various academies.
With its success proven beyond doubt, plans for the 2015 International Boys Summer School are already under way.
