Ian Knowles


Ian Knowles has been fortunate enough to work as a dancer, choreographer, teacher and entertainment director for over 30 years. He has performed in many shows both in Australia and Internationally – these include: Anything Goes, West Side Story, My Fair Lady, Cinderella, Hello Dolly, Fiddler ON The Roof, Royal Carribean Cruise Lines and has worked alongside such great artists as Kylie Minogue, KD Lang, Jimmy Sommerville, Rhonda Burchmore, Geraldine Turner, Tom Burlinson - to mention a few.

Ian’s choreographic and direction credits include: Bali Agung – Legend Of A Goddess (choreographer) which is still performing in Bali and up to its 1400th show, Colours Of Malaysia Opening Ceremony 2009 (choreographer), Sound of Music 2008 (choreographer), Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games (assistant choreographer Ceremonies), Perth Fashion Festival (choreographer), NSW Small Business Awards (entertainment director), Rugby World Cup – Opening Ceremony (associate choreographer), Ruby World Cup – Closing Ceremony (choreographer), Pan (choreographer) and Rhonda Burchmore In Cabaret (dancer/choreographer).                                                                    

Ian has taught in many studios across Australia and was proud to be the Artistic Director of the full time course at The Space Dance and Arts Centre in Melbourne from 2010 – 2013. He continues to direct, choreograph and teach, both nationally and internationally.
