Each year The Robert & Elizabeth Albert Sydney Eisteddfod Junior Ballet Scholarship impresses all who witness it. With its reputation for being one of the best scholarships on offer for pre-professional students looking to pursue a career in Ballet, the standard of performances in the Final on 2 July was at an all-time high.
Grace Carroll was crowned the winner, receiving a prize of $1,000 cash plus an additional $6,000 Scholarship to put towards continued tuition in dance. Hyo Shimizu was runner up and took out second place and a cash prize of $1,500. Both dances impressed the judges not only with their beautiful technique but also with their stunning stage presence.
Sydney Eisteddfod congratulates all place-getters and finalists on their performances and can not wait to see how each grows as a performer in the years to come.
