Dancer and choreographer Fiona Jopp began her performance career at 16, the youngest member of the cabaret Rhythm of the Night at Jupiter’s Casino on the Gold Coast, the same year she was awarded her RAD Solo Seal.
She went on to dance with Michael Clark Company, Bonachela Dance Company, Emanuel Gat Dance, Javier de Frutos, Cameron McMillan, and Sydney Dance Company where she worked with Rafael Bonachela, Jacopo Godani, Alexander Ekman, Gideon Orbarzanek and Andonis Foniadakis. She created her first work, so much, doesn’t matter for Sydney Dance Company and Carriageworks’ New Breed 2015 season.
Fiona was also choreographic assistant and ‘Anybodys’ in Pimlico Opera’s West Side Story in London and appeared in music videos for M.I.A and Calvin Harris, in Madonna’s lm Filth and Wisdom,World War Z by Marc Forster and Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina. She has recently appeared in sell out performances of both Hidden Sydney directed by Lucas Jervies and Nude Live choreographed by Rafael Bonachela for Sydney Dance Company,Art Gallery of NSW and Sydney Festival. She also appeared in Crazy Times by Antony Hamilton at Sydney Opera House.
