Choirs perform accompanied by historic organ

Highly regarded Organist at Shore School, Robert Fox will accompany eight finalist choirs on the recently restored 19th Century Grand Organ at Sydney Town Hall at the 2015 Australian Choral Grand Prix.

The organ, which was first installed in 1890, is now considered to be among the most important pipe organs in the world and this afternoon concert will be the perfect opportunity to see the organ in its full glory.

Following performances by the finalists choirs, the 400 choristers will join their voices to sing 'I Vow To Thee My Country' and William Blake's 'Jerusalem'. Lyrics will be available at the concert and audience members are invited to join in and sing with the choirs for these two final numbers.

The Australian Choral Grand Prix will be held on Sunday 30 August at 2:30pm. Tickets are available for purchase online here or call 02 9261 8366.
