Stravinsky Trio, Finalists in the 2013 Sydney Eisteddfod Musica Viva Chamber Music Award
Since beginning in 2006, the Sydney Eisteddfod Musica Viva Chamber Music Award has unfailingly attracted outstanding groups from all over Australia and further afield. The talent that appears on its stages is always inspiring, and this year it is opening to a wider public by changing its guidelines so instead of giving physical performances in Sydney, entrants will now compete in the initial heats through the submission of an audio recording.
The digital submissions must be received by Sydney Eisteddfod office by 3 August 2015. Entrants selected to progress into further rounds of the competition might be required to compete in a semi-final in Sydney on 19 September and those chosen as finalists will compete again on the following day.
Carrying a total of $11,500 in total prize money, along with performance and professional development opportunities with Musica Viva, this event is suitable for developing chamber groups poised on the brink of professional careers.
