Round of Applause for Sydney Eisteddfod Alumni Ayesha Gough, who was awarded the 2015 MK Lassell Prize, a prestigious honour awarded to the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University student who receives the highest piano exam score in Third Year.

After beginning her studies in a Bachelor of Music (Advanced Performance) in 2013, Ayesha won the Sydney Eisteddfod Allison/Henderson Piano Scholarship in 2014. She has continued to compete in a variety of international piano competitions with great success, placing third at the Kerikeri International Piano Competition and taking top honours at the Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition in 2015.

With her upcoming performance in the Sydney International Piano Competition fast approaching, she has had the opportunity to undertake radio interviews for both the 5MBS in South Australia and the ABC. More recently, Ayesha performed at the 4MBS studios in Brisbane, an exciting experience for the young pianist.
