Alex Chorley is a strong contender for the NSW/ACT Young Achiever Awards

The Sydney Eisteddfod is extremely proud to announce that veteran Alex Chorley was selected as a semi-finalist in the NSW and ACT Young Achiever Awards for 2016 .

He was nominated in the Arts and Fashion category and is now awaiting a possible selection as a finalist.

His mother Fiona Chorley said she is “extremely proud” of his achievements.

“Nominees must be 29 and under so we are really amazed he was selected at only 15,” she beamed.

In addition to his nomination, Alex was also invited to attend the NSW Young Achievers gala dinner in April in recognition of his achievements over the years.

Last year he competed in 15 events in the Sydney Eisteddfod, taking home the winning title in the Shakespeare Event (14-16), the Monologue/Character Event (under 15), Verse Speaking (14/15), Song from Operetta (under 16) and the Song from a Musical (under 15).

Keep checking our website for updates in his progression in the 2016 Sydney Eisteddfod, where he will no doubt shine and light up whatever stage he competes on.
