On Monday 15th October 2018 some of Sydney Eisteddfod's most talented classical singers, including Jessica Harper, Sarah Ampil, Rebecca Hart and Alexander Young will be entertaining audiences at the Mosman Art Gallery in a Fundraiser Gala entitled, 'Opera in the Gallery.' The event, featuring well-known soprano Taryn Fiebig, is designed to garner support for Operantics' first and ambitious main stage opera production for 2019, as it transitions into its fifth year of presenting lively performances by the next generation of Australia's operatic artists. Highlights of the evening include operatic masterpieces alongside raffle and silent auction prizes to be won.

An independent opera company, Operantics is dedicated to providing opportunities to local up and coming artists many of whom have successfully competed in Sydney Eisteddfod events. To date  Operantics has featured over 60 local artists, which includes Soprano Jessica Harper, winner of The Sydney Eisteddfod Opera & Arts Support Group Vocal Scholarship 2017; Sarah Ampil, winner of The Sydney Eisteddfod Senior Vocal Scholarship 2016; Rebecca Hart,  finalist in The Sydney Eisteddfod Senior Vocal Scholarship 2018; and Alexander Young,  finalist in The Sydney Eisteddfod Intermediate Vocal Scholarship 2018.

Sydney Eisteddfod wishes the performers the very best for the Fundraising Gala and for all the performances to come.
