On Sunday 7 July at Shore School - Smith Auditorium, 17 young emerging operatic stars took to the stage for the Sydney Eisteddfod Opera Scholarship Semi Finals. They competed for a place in Sydney Eisteddfod's prestigious Opera Scholarship Final worth more than $61,000.
Each artist performed two arias, and eight were chosen to continue to the Finals at The Concourse, Chatswood. Sydney Eisteddfod is proud to announce the entrants who qualified to proceed to the Final event: the most talented emerging singers from Australia and New Zealand.
The Finalists for 2019 are:

Panayiota Kalatzis (Sydney)
Anna Stephens (Ashfield)
Juliette Di Bello (Sydney)
Cleo Lee-McGowan (Northcote, VIC)
Bronwyn Douglass (Botany)
The Reserve Finalists for 2019 are:
Reserve Finalist 1: Chelsea Burns (South Guildford, WA)
Reserve Finalist 2: Ashlyn Tymms (Paddington)
